My 2015 Fashion in ONE Word
If you asked to describe my fashion in 2015 in one word I would use the word "vintage". It's a timeless style and always superb, that thrills many women and it’s always present on the catwalk. When I have the opportunity to wear a dress that reminds women of the past like the one in the pictures I become myself and I feel at ease, forgetting reality.
This dress has a floral print, combined with a leather belt to point out the waist, while stocking and shoes are of a dark color to not take away the attention to the dress. Floral prints are my favorite (even though everything that has flowers is my favorite), which isn't daily look worn by younger women; maybe because they are afraid to appear old, or because they are afraid that's unfashionable.
In fact, many people point out to me that the clothes I wear are the same ones their grandmothers wore, making the comment look as something negative. Instead I chose this dress to make people think again about this style, showing how a dress like this, also being unfashionable, can be varied from who wears it.
One last advice I want to give to you it's that it's okay to follow trends, but even better to wear what you feel good with, without the shame of prejudices.
That's what I'll do in this new year!
And you? What word would you use to describe your fashion in 2015?
I was born on July 28 in Naples, Italy, under the heat of the sun and the smell of the sea. I lived among the green grass, between the animals and the perfume of flowers, this may be the reason why I love them so much. Among the many passions that I have there are fashion, photography, writing and discover new places. Rob's Shelter is a place where all these ones can be shared.
INSPIRATION TO BLOG
It may be strange, but a song gave me the inspiration to start this blog. At first I limited myself posting pictures on Lookbook, a social network to post outfits. But one day I listened to a song, Shelter by the singer Birdy, and watching the video of the song, I thought to create a shelter a space where to put all the ideas of fashion which went through my head, and from here Rob's Shelter name was born.
